On behalf of all the partners and staff of Bennett Jones, we look forward to welcoming you to Calgary for the 64th PRAC International Conference, September 15-18, 2018. With a panoramic backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, and a historic association with oil exploration and cattle ranching, Calgary is the financial and emotional heart of Western Canada.

Under the theme “Change Happens Everywhere: Embracing the Evolving Nature of Business and Law”, we have put together an engaging and informative program addressing challenges and opportunities facing law firms in today’s competitive and often uncertain economic environment.

In addition to discussions on law firm management issues, such as cyber security, outside counsel demands and the influence of technology on the practice of law, we will hear from leading energy industry experts on current challenges and opportunities facing companies in, and suppliers to, the energy sector in Canada and globally. We will also devote some time to the topic of international trade, hearing from one of Canada’s former Ambassadors to the World Trade Organization and Chief NAFTA Negotiator.

We promise a taste of Western hospitality at its best, starting with a warm welcome reception at Bennett Jones, some fine local dining, and a full-day tour of the majestic Banff National Park, among other activities.
