| Professor Chen, educated at Hong Kong University and Oxford University, is currently Director of Centre of Asian Studies and Honorary Professor of Economics at the University of Hong Kong. He has held visiting appointments at Yale, Oxford, Stockholm Universities and at the University of California. Professor Chen has also served as consultant to a number of international agencies and multinational companies. He is at present director of the First Pacific Company and the Mass Transit Railway Corporation of Hong Kong. | ||
| Professor Chen has an eminent record of public service. He is at present a member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong, the highest policy-making body in Hong Kong. He is also Chairman of the Consumer Council and a member of other advisory committees of the Hong Kong Government. | ||
